Snow Q Project

Most of 2018 was consumed with a wonderful arts council funded project that I was invited to create some projections for with poet Maria Jastrzebska, composer Peter Copley, visual artist Dagmara Rudkin and director Mark Hewitt.

The aim of the project was to re-imagine the richly, symbolic story of The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen as a vehicle for exploring contemporary issues, such as exile, gender, loneliness and mental health issues. The culmination of this process was a work-in-progress collaborative, site specific installation that featured poetry, performance, music, art and video and was performed to a live audience at the Basement of the Regency Town House in Brighton on Winter Solstice – 21st December 2018.

Here you can read about our 6 months journey of our research and development. And above is a short evaluation video that I made about the project.
